Calls for rape, murder, insults, racist and anti-Semitic comments... On the internet, forums and readers' letters are full of hateful and violent messages. Who are the "trolls" accused of polluting debates on the Internet ? Does the internet exacerbate the most unhealthy impulses or is it just a faithful reflection of society ? And, what are the countermeasures ? This documentary offers an immersion in the Internet of hate to better understand the roots and consequences of a global phenomenon that is growing as the web expands, as social networks impose their power and their rules, between freedom of expression and respect for legislation. In Sweden, Morocco and the United States, we meet with haters, network moderators, police officers, politicians and Internet theorists, in particular lawyer Mike Godwin and his famous "Godwin point", the thermostat of Internet hate. They all talk about a new public space where everything can be said and written without the filters of the traditional media imposed by newspaper or television editors. Should the web be controlled ?
