This documentary sheds light on the prison business in Louisiana. In prison, as in business, only one rule prevails: profitability. Each prisoner receives an allowance paid by the state to the sheriff of the prison : the temptation is great not to spend all the money paid, even if it means endangering the lives of these prisoners, starting with HIV patients, who are deprived of their treatment, which is considered too expensive. Neither militant nor moralising, this is a didactic and enlightening film.
