Do the French really know where their electronic waste ends up, once it is thrown away or left on the pavement ? With the help of GPS trackers, hidden on waste, a television, a computer and a refrigerator, this investigation has made it possible to retrace the route taken by this waste, across continents and oceans. Thanks to this tracking work, the documentary reveals an incredible international traffic orchestrated by mafia organisations. From the pavements of the Paris suburbs, through Germany and Belgium, to the largest electronic waste dump in Accra, Ghana. On the African continent, thousands of workers dismantle televisions, computers and refrigerators from Europe every day, despite the toxic fumes and chemical substances. Specialised investigators from the French Gendarmerie, customs officers, international experts and smugglers have agreed to reveal to us the hidden face of this traffic which is destroying the planet with impunity.
