Butte Bellevue, summer 2019. The inhabitants of France's poorest neighbourhood, located in the belly of Marseille, are getting ready to spend an eventful summer: already their daily life is not spoiling them, now their "village" is under the threat of an urban planning project that could transform it permanently. The inhabitants are worried and try to mobilise, despite their social, cultural or ethnic differences, despite the tensions or difficulties. What is the special bond that binds them all together to this neighbourhood? What identity do they all have in common? This is the question explored in "Peril on the City", which follows the lives of several emblematic inhabitants of the Butte over the course of a summer. Personal trajectories and collective impulses, the story of a poor, lively neighbourhood, a permanent laboratory of living together, of its clashes and its magic.
